Top 5 Wednesday- Most recent wishlist books

Hello readers!
Today's top 5 topic is the most recent books I've added to my wishlist. I found this topic by browsing other Top5 Wednesday-ers posts for the hiatus.

1. Ruthless Gods by Emily Duncan- I haven't been keeping up with new releases since... January, however I did see Emily post her cover reveal for book 2 on Twitter recently. I haven't read Wicked Saints yet, but I am very interested in the series. I think following Emily on Twitter and hearing her talk about books 2 and 3 definitely added to my hype for the series.

2. Galatea by Madeline Miller- I've already read Song of Achilles, I own and plan on reading Circe, so why not add Galatea? I did read a little bit of it on either amazon or somewhere else online and the writing was really awesome. Since this is a short story it shouldn't take long to finish either, as long as I can find the entire thing to read.

3. The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern- Who hasn't been waiting for this book? I recently read The Night Circus after hearing everyone (Specifically Sam from thoughtsontomes) rave about it for years. I'm excited for her next book, though I'm trying to be pretty blind about the plot going into it.

4. Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo- The entire series of DC characters written by YA authors didn't appeal to me when they were all coming out. I've read a bunch of comics and I've done research on a bunch of my favorite characters before, so I didn't think books would have new information that I didn't care to regurgitate. Then I started to read about specifically Catwoman, and how Sarah had changed her story a little bit and become a bit more intrigued. When Wonder Woman was on sale via Kindle, I decided to at least read the first 5 pages before buying it because I am trying to refrain from just buying a bunch of kindle books, and WW wasn't my favorite. The story as Leigh laid it out definitely peaked my interest. I enjoyed the history of the character she included too.

5. Empire of The Vampire by Jay Kristoff- This seems like another no-brainer. I really enjoyed Nevernight, just for the content but more specifically for the way it pushed boundaries as far as genres. It definitely isn't YA in a traditional sense because it does have more mature themes, but it fits into a middle ground that a lot of people are starting to call New Adult. Personally, this is my favorite genre to read, however there aren't a lot of books that specifically categorize themselves here. Empire of the Vampire is supposed to fit in the same genre, and as Jay continues to bring attention to New Adult, I feel like I can appreciate the efforts he's making to flesh out a more mature piece of literature.
