Top 5 Wednesday- SFF BFFs

Hello readers!

Today's Top 5 Topic is- Our favorite Science Fiction & Fantasy Best Friends Forever. Either friends you love in the genre or characters you think you'd be friends with. I had a really hard time thinking of a full 5 friends, so I shortened it to my top 3. 

1. Safi & Iseult- This duo is so easy to talk about because they are literally a yin and yang to each other. Where Safi falters, Iseult is there and vice versa. In book two while they are separated we get to see how important to each other their friendship is but how they also learn from the absence of the other. 

2. Alina & Mal- I do not ship Alina with anyone in this series and didn't have a problem with how the series ended. I know she had chemistry with Nikolai, people added tension between her and the Darkling, but she continued to pursue Mal. I agree with the way Bardugo ended the series because that was true to Alina's character, however I would have preferred if Alina had just become a solo Martyr-like-character working in the castle with children that were learning about their grisha abilities. 

3. Kady & AIDAN- At the end of Illuminae, I felt like Kady and AIDAN ended up with an odd friendship. She had obviously just survived the AI trying to wipe out the survivors from her planet, however I think they both learned a lot from each other. The trust that Kady puts in AIDAN in Geminae is kind of a testament to that.
