Christmas At Hogwarts Wrap Up
Hello readers!
Today I am re-capping from my Christmas at Hogwarts Magical Read-a-thon.
Last week I posted about the books I would be reading and today I will be updating my progress and reviews for the books I did finish.
I ended up unable to read the week of the 17- 20th, so I altered the dates to work better for myself and chose the 22nd through the 31st as I knew Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I would be too busy to read anything.

Our first prompt was to finish our course work and finish a book that we've been reading at the start of the read-a-thon. For me, I finally finished The Book Theif by Mark Zusak.
The next prompt I chose was a book with a golden detail, and I chose the golden masterpiece Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. I wasn't sure if I was going to finish but I ended up switching to Audio-book since I've been having a hard time finding time to sit and read. I was hooked in immediately, which I was super excited about after how slow I felt me re-read of the previous books went.
Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block was a re-read for me, the last time was over 10 years ago so the story was fun to read again. I still love the way Block wrote Weetzie's story. I knew this would be a quick read which is why I chose it as the shortest book for the shortest prompt.
I wasn't able to finish the read-a-thon this year in the time allotted. Between the holidays, having family in town, and it being the busiest part of the year at work, I couldn't find time to sit down and read without sacrificing sleep. The last two books I needed to finish was Goblet of Fire and The Bell Jar. GoF I plan on finishing, as I've been doing a super slow creep through the HP series. The Bell Jar I will put back on my shelf for the future.
Let me know how you did below. Did you finish? What was your favorite book you read? Do you plan on participating in another magical read-a-thon, like the O.W.L.s?
