Christmas at Hogwarts Read-A-Thon

Hello readers!
Today I am posting about my TBR for the Christmas at Hogwarts read-a-thon. This is another read-a-thon hosted by G from Book Roast. If you haven't participated in any of her read-a-thons, I highly suggest you check her out, especially if you love Harry Potter. She has a Twitter page to give you updates and to follow sprints.

This read-a-thon is a week, from December 17-23 and is set up a bit differently from the O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s.

This is more of a map motivated reading challenge. Each stop along this maze is a different prompt:
  • Finish your coursework - finish your current read
  • Help Hagrid decorate the trees - book with a golden detail
  • Have a snowball fight with the Weasley twins - a book you think will be humorous
  • Visit 3 Broomsticks for muller pixie wine - a read that should only take you a day/evening
  • Exchange presents at your Common Room - read featuring/about friendship
  • Sneak into the kitchen to gift dobby odd socks - read that has an item of clothing on the cover
  • Attend a Yule Ball - book you’ve been preparing yourself for
  • Fly around snowy Hogwarts grounds - building on the cover
  •  Put on your knitted sweater from Molly Weasley - read with present parents or a focu on family
  • Use your Invisibility Cloak to get to the Restricted Section of the Hogwarts Library - read a banned book
  • Bring a festive treat to Hedwig at the Owlery - animal on the cover/title/series name
  • Attend the Christmas Feast - watch a Harry Potter movie (optional)
For me, I feel crazy for jumping into a read-a-thon this late in the year, but I always enjoy G's challenges and they typically pull me out of whatever reading slump I may be in. Below are my list of books:
  • Finish your current: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  • A book with golden detail: Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
  • A read that should only take you a day/evening: Weetzie Bat by Francesca Lia Block
  • A book you have been preparing yourself for: The Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
  • Read a banned book: The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
  • Watch a Harry Potter movie: The Sorcerer's Stone!
Some of these books are re-reads for me. It's been years since I've read Weetzie Bat by FLB so it'll be nice to make it through again. I've been working on my Harry Potter re-read for years and usually I try to make more of an effort this time of the year. I bought myself a puzzle with the old artwork to motivate me to read the next few books since Snow-y Hogsmead is my favorite scenery in the books. The Bell Jar I've started before, I just haven't finished it.

Are you guys participating? Let me know what you plan on reading below! Feel free to tag me on Twitter to show off your TBR.
