Vine Book Tag
Ladies and gentlemen.... I am addicted to Vine compilation videos.
I did not participate when OG Vine was around, I've heard rumors of it making a comeback, either way, I'm sorry I missed it.
I've made up for lost time by just watching videos filled with the same vines but never get old. So when Emma from Emmmabooks created the Vine Book Tag, I know I had to figure out how to make it a blog post. I included gifs to give the effect of the Vine, but I also linked videos of each Vine in case you're not familiar.
1. “I Want To Be Famous”: A book that is underrated but deserves more hype
I know there are people out there that appreciate Kristoff's writing and I think he's gaining traction in the American YA Reading Community (If thats a thing?). However Nevernight specifically is such a great book and I think people tend to over-look it. I don't know if it's from the slow start of the first 100 pages, or if it's the little foot-notes that cause mixed feelings. Whatever it is, more people need to read this series.
Mia is an amazing, heartwarming assassin, okay?

2. “Hzzuhk”: A plot twist caught you off guard
Spoiler for anybody who hasn't read this.
I've only gotten through Book 1 in this series, but WTF? Jace is Clary's brother? Weird regardless of the truth behind it, because I don't know if I believe it.

3. “I Didn’t Get No Sleep ‘Cause of Y’all”: A book you lost sleep over
I bought this at Barnes & Noble the day it was released, went home and read it in one sitting. I didn't get any sleep that night.

4. “So No Head?”: A book that makes you PISSED OFF (an event makes you angry or you’re angry you wasted time and money on this book)
I've talked about both of these books before. The Woodcutter I DNF'd because I wasted my time with that mess, there was no rhyme or reason to the plot.
Beyond The Pale Motel I did an entire review on. I was so disappointed with this for a few different reasons, mostly because of the main character.

5. “Can I Get A Waffle?”: A sequel/spin off that you are begging your favorite author for
This is somewhat already in the works according to Martin's blog post, but I'd LOVE to get more information on the Targaryen's. Specifically the events around Rhaegar and his love triangles, but I'd take the whole lot if I have to. Since the Game of Thrones series has two (?) series left, I'm curious if we'll get more Rhaegar & Lyanna.
I'm super underwhelmed by the actor they chose for Rhaegar mostly because I'm expecting a steam boat but at least he's not Viserys.

6. “Wow”: A book you were unimpressed by
I think most of the Book community can agree, this book left us wanting a little more than what was delivered. Although I wasn't nearly as disappointed and a lot of others, I still wished we got at least another 100 pages.

7. “What The Fuck Is Up Kyle”: A character you want to fight
Lets clarify, I like Nesta for a WHOLE lotta reasons. However, I still want to slap her.

I liked the Throne of Glass series, though book 2 and 3 were super slow for me. I'm excited to see how this series ends and what happens to some of my favorite characters.
What are your favorite vines? Let me know in the comments below.
