Series I Haven't Finished

Hello readers!
Today I'm going to be talking about series I'm in the middle of but haven't finished yet. Whether they are dualogies, trilogies or a full 8 book series. I'll break them into categories; final book not out yet, or entire series has been published.

Lets get started!

Final Book Not Out Yet:

Darkdawn comes out September 2019 which means our longing is going to be agonizing. I've been holding off on reading Godsgrave because of the gap between now and when the final book is published.
Nevernight has certainly been captivating, Mia is such a unique and lovely character. I love the anticipated but still surprising pieces of this story, such as of course Mia is a badass but did we expect her to be such a murderous sweetheart as well?

I know the sequel, Wildcard, was available at Book Expo this year as an ARC. The cover is GORGEOUS, much like Warcross.
I love the world that Lu has built in this series. The futuristic but somewhat contemporary feel is really cool. Theres something relatable about Emicka aswell, I feel oddly connected to characters with tattoos and colored hair.

There are two more books that we are aware of in this series. In An Absent Dream is set to be published January 2019 and the 5th book,
Come Tumbling Down is expected in 2020.
I've read this series out of order so far, since it's not necessary to make it to book 3 before reading book 2. I enjoy picking up these characters if can't pick something to read or if I am having a hard time getting into a book. They are fun, easy to read, but still meaningful.

There are two more books in this series; Two Dark Reigns comes out in September and the fourth book is expected in 2019. There are also several novellas out as well that I think are interesting because they tell part of the story of the queens as young girls and also as the only Oracle Queen.
I had a hard time starting this book, the story wasn't super interesting. Most of the reviews I've seen have stated that the entire story picks up in book 2, so I'm excited to continue the story.

I can't believe it, but we're finally seeing a conclusion to this series. I listened to this series last summer and as bittersweet as it's going to be, it's time that Aelin finally gets her closure. Kingdom of Ash comes out in October.
This series wasn't as loved as the A Court of Thorns & Roses series by Maas, but it's certainly worth the read. The romance isn't as prominent, there are some issues with POC representation, and lets not forget the struggle that can be books 2 and 3. However, I encourage you to give the series a read if you are looking for a long, high fantasy series that is driven by fucked up family members and Kings of dark magic.

Ha. Thought it was over? Nope. Though you have to wait until TBD until you can read it. I'm not joking either, the description for book 3 states "many years down the line."
I'll be waiting here I guess.
This book was great. It was filled with my favorite kind of characters. The morally gray people who are motivated by money, self-perseverance, and their reputation. I have not read Crooked Kingdom, mainly because I'd like to re-read rather than listen to Six of Crows again before moving on. I think listening to it I missed some details I'd like to regain.

Entire Series Has Been Published:

The final book in this series came out in May. I've just picked up my copy at the end of June and plan on diving in for August.
For anybody interested in my thoughts on this series so far, I have done a blog post about the Red Queen, Glass Sword, and Kings Cage. I'm looking forward to see what happens to these characters in this GIANT book.

If you haven't tried this series yet, please do. My first book review was on this book. I absolutely adored Elise's world in The Alchemists of Loom. There are two more books in this series, and if you like Elise's writing do not fret, she has at least two other series out. (At least at the time of this post) Kova is a machine at writing books which makes me really appreciate her as an author.
This series in particular is a steam-punk fantasy that includes a re-imagined appearance of Dragons and some interesting magic. It may come off as hard to follow, but Kova does a good job explaining things a bit more halfway through this book.
You should totally pick it up.

Good ol' Percy. There are... 5 books with Percy but Riordan has at least 3 more with similar themes of ancient gods. I know this is a middle grade series, but it's so like-able. Having some grasp of Greek mythology definitely adds to the reading experience, especially pertaining to Aphrodite and Hermes.
I plan on continuing the Olympian's series and move onto The Heroes of Olympus and then Magnus Chase. Hopefully I'll be able to start the next series next summer.

I know, I'm a million years behind on the Cassandra Clare train. At least I'm making an effort. If you've been living under a rock like me, the Mortal Instruments series has been out for a few years now and Clare has continued this world in at least two more series.
My opinion specifically on City of Bones is definitely going to be unpopular; I didn't really care for it and thought the story got really weird towards the end. I do plan on continuing because I've heard this series gets better and I know the Infernal Devices is even better.
Bare with me, but I will finish it.

And thats it for book series I haven't finished yet! If you have any you'd like to talk about, or would like to gush or gripe about a book I've listed here please feel free to find me in the comments.
See ya!
